Castaic has a small lake before the one for the boats where you can camp on the grassy area there and you can kayak and other non motorised water stuff.... pretty cool and you park close but not "on the water"

i serve because i love doing what i do so thank you. since you like the shade if you make a right on to 95 from 62 or left onto 95 from I-10 there is a spot on the right hand side its 145 miles from 29 it has trees fire pit and a very sort walk to the river. perfect for jet ski. and there are plants all around there where i would guess fish are. very nice spot but me and the wife didnt want to drive back down there after we got the food and other supplies (beer)
