If I had the basic's I would say yes I'm in. I'm in the middle of getting setup for trails. What I mean is I just lifted and put wheels and tires on. Now I need to install a CB radio. Working on a power tank to re air up my tires. I'm not one to depend on others so I have missed a few good runs do to the lack of being ready. I should be good to go after this month.

Open to any suggestions for which trails people would like to be doing.

Saturday is best for me.
What's up Ryan? Hope all is good with you. I am in LA ( Encino ) right now staying with my brother for a few days. Let me check with him today to see if he is down with a run in Big Bear and I might be good to go on this. He just had pretty gnarly surgery on his hand, so not sure if he will want to.

I'm interested, count me as a maybe. I can let you know by this afternoon. What would the plan be ?

Meeting location (meet for quick breakfast before we take-off?)
Time
Estimated run time

If I may suggest I would say we meet somewhere before we start climbing into the mountains.

That is fine with me. I won't be there because I'm headed up to BB today (we have a house up there) but go ahead and coordinate that.

In response to your questions about timing, etc--again, I am open ears. I've never been on the trails up there so I don't know exactly whats doable. I'm up to doing whatever trails people would like to do. Someone please chime in and suggest something.

I've read dishpan, gold mnt, john bull, etc. ANd it appears as the the DISCOVERY CENTER on North Shore is the place that previous runs have met.

You should make the trip anyways. I completely understand what you mean by not wanting to rely on others but its not a big deal. If your Jeep is capable (lift, tires, etc), then that is the most important. Not having a CB in a small group is minor (we can put you in the middle of the convoy and you will be fine). ANd you can use my compressor to air up at the end of the day.

I was there at one point. I personally wouldn't bat an eye about sharing my tools for someone in your position. I'm just repaying my debt for all the tools, compressors, etc I've borrowed from people in the last year.

We'd love to have you.

Gerrit, I'll give you a call in a couple of hours and we will see what your situation is. Tell him to pop a couple of those pain killers the doc gave him and to enjoy himself!!! All joking aside, it would be great to have you. I'll talk to you in a few

I just re-scheduled a meeting I had tomorrow so I'm in

The only trail I have done up there (or close to there) is Cleghorn, other than that I heard that John Bull is difficult (fine with me) and I don't know about the others.

Just let me know what the plan is, if somebody who knows these trails could pitch in on this thread even if they are not going it would be great.

i can air you up no problem or i can bring a spare compressor you can use to air yourself up so you don't feel like a leech.

i also have a spare hand held midland that you can use for the day.

so suck it up nancy and come on!

I don't have lockers but we can always winch, I like the extra difficulty. Not to go against what you've said, but I've read that there are alot of "alternate routes" you can take to get around some of the more difficult spots. Is this true or no?
