Hey guys just trying to see if anyone know a good campground that's a first come first serve or has a specific one that most people don't know about that I could take my family this 4th of July weekend? Much help would be appreciated thanks

 

Check out Heart Bar. There is a regular campground with paved roads/spots and toilets. If you keep driving on the main road, the pavement mercifully ends, and there are several Yellow Post sites. They are first come, primitive, and free. Only picnic tables and fire rings. I've driven the whole road, and there are (I'm guessing) at least 20 sites, with varying accessibility. A few harder to get into sites are perfect for us Jeepers! I would imagine you'd be able to secure one without too much difficulty.

 

Big pine and Crab flats are good but will probably get filled up quickly.We could not find a reservable sight online for the weekend so motel for us.

If you plan on heading up there let me know we could hit some trails.

Saturday morning the 2nd.Going to just be my wife,young boy and I.

 

sounds good bro I'll be headed up Sunday afternoon. Wife works until Sunday. Blah. But yea I'll be there until Tuesday though. Maybe we can do gold mountain. I think that's the one by the discovery center. Pretty easy trail mainly scenic and and what not and good for the kids. It'll be my wife and daughter and I. I have a couple buddies with us but they have their own truck. But yea maybe we could set something up. My buddy is headed up there on Friday to try and secure a campsite for us
