I'll have to check for my oring my gas cap lights been on since I replaced mine....

I didn't even know it was there on the old one when I inspected it. It should be on the connection between the evap can and the white leak detect pump.

My gas cap light has been on for almost 5 years. Maybe I should get around to fix that.

I hope so too. I can't even count how many times I took it to the stealership. I just gave up

My stock one is black, which is why I didn't even notice it on the evap. I would think any comparable rubber o-ring might work if it seals correctly.
