You can always go to the BLM information center on the east side of the road down by the park. They will be able to tell you what trails are open and would be safe for you to do. The eastern sierra 4x4 club had a run two days ago that you just missed.

It is always safer to go this another vehicle, but I figured if you were by yourself you could go out on some easy and well-travelled trails that would have great views this time of year and stay away from anything that would be challenging.

Go out by 5 Bridges area(Laws) and take Fish Slough there's some neat stuff not sure about the snow further up but it goes thru to Chidalgo Rd and eventually ends up on the backside of Crowley Lake. Good advise to check with Ranger station in center of Bishop b4 any adventures. Enjoy
