I got a email from from Diablo Blanko today about going out on Rowher Trail tomorrow (2/6/10). Sorry about the last minute, but it nature calling.

So if you would like to go "Get your motor running" join us rain or shine at Rowher Trail head at the Bouquet Reservoir at 9:00 am. (I only plan on staying 1/2 the day.)

Hi Artpics, I am going to be there at 9:00 am. Maybe I should say meet at a eatery for coffee, but I really need to be in Oxnard by 2:00 pm

I have never been to to the trail. Where should I start and go?

 

I went up there in the rain a couple weeks ago and it was a blast.

Well if you go to the meeting spot on the map, then go up a 1/4 mile or so to the Fire Road 6N08. It will be on your right side and it will be easy up to the hair pin turn the get ready to wheel from there. It was really muddy and . If you come to a crossing make a left on Martindale Ridge Road. We made it up that section last time pretty well in the rain.

Then we just followed the main fire road down into Rowher Flats. A lot of mud slinging and a lot of fun.

You should really try to meet with us at 9:00 am. We still might be sitting there trying to get myself unstuck again at the meeting point.

My girlfriend is trying to talk me out of it she is worried, she hydro-planed her Lexus 460 on the 101 today just before Oxnard so be careful tomorrow.
