Yeah - I'm comfortable with that. I've got it on my calendar.

Hey I will be back in CA that weekend. If someone has an empty passenger seat I'd love to come along for the ride.

Do you guys know if it is possible to change thread's name? I'd like to add the date in there.

Also, here's a nice writeup that I've found (look at POI descriptions on the left):

It doesn't look like too long of a trail to me, maybe we should incorporate some other stuff for the day to fill up ?

The odessa mine is in the general area. There are places to explore. I will be coming from the Corona area. Anyone else coming from my direction?

I will be coming from San Diego, so this is on the way, I just don't know if we will be coming a day before and camp / motel closer to Calico. Will let you know later. BTW, are there nice camping areas closer to the trail head?

Calico Ghost Town has a camping area. Don't know what they charge. I will probably be leaving Corona between 7 and 8.

There a Hampton inn by the outlets in Barstow. It's a quick 10-15 minute drive from there to Calico.

Once you get up to the Bismark mine(#7 I think) there is a side trail (over and back) to Wallstreet Canyon that is really fun. Has a tight "S" wash and a fun water fall to go down and back up to finish the trail back. That will take up some of your time.. Got a stock Rubi 2 door thru there with some coaxing.
