The crush cans are two cylindrical pieces, about the size of a can on either side of your front bumper. They prevent the airbag from deploying in the event of a very slow speed frontal impact. People with an after market bumper need to take them out to fit their new bumper. The only exception is the ARB and The AEV bumper that are crush can compatible.

I am really looking for someone that don't want them taking useful space in their garage, I know a lot of people get rid of them... I don't plan on spending any money on it. If someone local want to give them to me, great.

Actually the reason I need them is because I just bought a used AEV from one of our member. The AEV bumper is very time consuming to put on and require the crush can to be cut and fitted, which add to the instal time, so my hope was to do that ahead of time so that it is ready when I get the bumper.

So in effect I could also " Borrow " someone crush cans prep them for the AEV bumper and then give mine back uncut to that person once I take apart my own bumper.

You could just cut the cans off your current bumper and run with the metal liner/bumper until you get your AEV prepped and ready for installation. I cut my cans off just last weekend to mount these d-rings, but unfortunately I threw the cans away!
