Default This drought is bad

Tooled around holy jim this morning. Creek as dry as a bone. 1 year ago it was flowing from snow melt.

A little off topic but do you need an adventure pass to legally go there?

You only need Adv Pass if you plan on parking. If you buy an annual pass ($30) you can get a second one for ($5). But both and sell one to a buddy.

I'm in mammoth right now. Definitely a weak year for snow statewide. It all goes in cycles, though. I'm from AZ so it surprises me the state doesn't offer tax breaks for doing desert landscaping. Saves a ton of water....and lowers monthly bill.

Actually they do. We did the backyard and are seriously considering the front yard too. At this time we have not decided what to do with it yet. In fact, as with AZ, UT and NV a lot of the new homes' front yards are desert scaped.

The area near the entrance is technically all private property and is illegal to venture off the main road. Once you pass the sign stating that you've entered the park, that's when you need to have the sticker. Too many idiots have destroyed the area and they've been forced to flatten out the entire main road and block off all off-shoots. Which honestly didn't help, because now kids with AWD cars think it's a rallye course and fly through there.
