Default gears

I have a 07 JK 4dr with 4.10 front and rear gears. I am installing a 4 in lift with 35s. Should re gear and should I go up or down? What do you all recommend?

You'll be fine with the 4.10's. If you are going to get into some hard core wheeling you'll want to look into gears and adding some lockers. For everyday driving you'll notice a difference but it won't be that bad.

Taco get it all put on and if you aren’t happy with the ratio you can change it then. You can drive mine out there when you get back to town. Mine is an automatic with 35” tire with 4.88’s but it may give you an idea how your Jeep might feel.

I dont plan on doing hard core wheeling just the normal weekend trips. I will be putting in front and rear lockers soon. Just wondering whether or not I should re gear with the bigger tires.

If you're planning to get lockers soon you might as well get the gears while everything is torn apart. In the meantime try to find someone who has a set-up close to what you are trying to build and go for a ride with them to see how it feels.
