Default gettin a bumper, need input on paint/powder cost

I've got a Poison Spyder Brawler Lite coming soon and I'm trying to decide how I want to finish it between rattle can paint or powder coat. If I powder coat it'll be more durable, but cost way more. Rattle can can be touched up after scratches.

I'm looking for input on which to do, about how much it would cost to powder coat in the O-side to Escondito Ares e, and how many cans I cold expect to use if I paint it.

Thanks

I powder coated mine, then scratched them pretty good. (Gouged)... So I would say, I'm happy With powder, but have to rattle can to touch up. Of course, I chose flat black which is pretty easy to match.

Bed liner. You can easily repair it yourself and it looks just like textured powder coating.

We rattle canned ours. Still looks awesome almost a year later. In the past we have had powder coating done, but I don't think we'll be doing that any more -- it still rusted and scratched. Past few experiences with the rattle can prove powder coat was somewhat of a waste of our $ and it is actually holding up better

Frank did our bumper...I'll let him chime in on how many cans of flat black he used. I believe he did multiple light coats

I bedlined my bumpers after the powder coat started looking bad and flaking off. I used rattle can rustoleum bedliner and it looked better than the original powder coat. The bonus is that touch-up are super simple and blend perfectly.

What about those of us that live in winter climates? Roads that are covered in salt to melt the ice and snow.

I'm going to be ordering a JCR Offroad rear bumper soon. They offer a powder coat option, but I have had bad luck with domestic applied factory powder coat. The Chinese stuff seems to last forever since it has to be good enough to last weeks on the ocean.

I should be getting my JCR front bumper with their factory powder coat in a week, I am hopeful that it will hold up better than the one I have on their now. If I scratch it, I'll touch it up with a rattle can. If done right, powder coat can be very durable and long lasting.

I did powder coat and paid 125 for my front JCR stubby and 110 for my rear JCR dagger bumper. The place that I had do it, dips the entire bumper to clean it after a course bead blast then they shoot it a few times and bake it as usual. Color is good, holding up very well. I had the ARB on my land rover and it faded in less than 2 years. Theirs are shot in China.

Did you have all the other parts coated, like the nut strips and brackets?
