Default Going to BigBear tomorrow. Do I need chains?

Hello,

Im heading up to big Bear tomorrow to go snowboarding and was wondering what the chains laws are. I wont need them, i think, but do I need to have them in my jeep for legal purposes? Im still trying to find Chains that will fit my 285/75-16 too

They wont be checking to make sure people have chains if it isnt snowing or expecting it to snow.

I was in big bear the day after the big snow last week, and I had no problems and the cal trans site says 4x4 with snow tires no chains required

I think I have some from my old TJ 33's.

They are real chains and were never opened or used.

If you are concerned and want to borrow them (and not use them since I am going to craigslist them) for tomorrow PM me and we might be able to meet up so you are at least "legal".

I am in RSM.

Be on the look out for a Rescue Green 4 door. Thatd be me. Ill be up for the next couple days with 2 H1's.

Its super warm boarding weather too btw.
