Hardtop or not?
Looking for advice. Hardtop or not in SoCal?
Gonna be moving to the San Diego area in about a year from MA and I'm thinking about selling my hardtop before the move. I really don't think I'll ever have a need for it once I'm out there but I was recently there on vacation and every Mall Crawler had theirs on. Mines a daily driver but I still take it off road, more mods coming soon.
I have a soft top as well as a Spiderweb Shade and plan to add the Tuffy Security Deck before the move. I don't typically leave anything of importance unlocked in the Jeep when the soft top is on.
Would love to read your thoughts. Thanks

Every convertible I've owned has been cut open here in SD. The doors were'nt locked, but the loosers cut first and can't seem to operate a zipper. My softop leaked from day one and the dealer couldn't "duplicate" the leak.
Have a Freedom top now and Love it, but do miss the softtop. Dealer's choice.

Sold to buy a trektop and have never look back
I didn't say the hardtop is thief proof. That is why I said, "easier to steal"....duh
Go with a hardtop and soft top for the sunny outdoor days. If I were you, I would even take advantage of living in Cali and buy yourself a Wild Boar Hardtop, since you wouldn't have to pay a crap load for shipping. I bought mine and a Trektop for a softie, nice combo if you ask me
