Default High wind warnings!!

So i drove to vegas on friday and boy did that suck. Not only did i get stuck with rain and traffic, but once i got torwards the Cajon pass it was foggy (10-15mph max) and windy. I made it safe but my jeep was getting thrown around like a rag doll. I definately could tell it was the wind not the road or any loose bolts cause i saw my cb antenna just in a constant bend when the wind would blow hard. I had the TREKTOP on too and i thought it made it worse. Like a sail of some sort.

Any one ever had that problem? Driving with a good amount of wind just knock them off their straight path. I mean i was going about 55-60 max the whole way(on the windy sections) and even that was bad. I was afraid of driving past a big rig cause the amount of wind that he's putting out. Ive never had it that bad.

We were driving back from Sedona, AZ on saturday night, driving on the 8. The head wind was brutal!!! The wife kept telling me to pull over and check the hood. It looked as if it was about to wrap around the windshield! Kinda wish it would have so I could have an excuse to buy the new AEV Hood.
The time we hit Pine Valley around 6pm, it was snowing like Ive never seen before in CA, there were cars spinning out all over the place (glad I was in the jeep) And glad I didnt make it to the supercross, as it looked miserable

I never really noticed the wind too much until I lifted my Jeep. Now she really, really, dislikes the wind.

As far as the hood flutter, I wonder if they made better straps for the 2010's because I have never, ever seen the hood flutter under any condition.

We drove through there back in OCT 07, just before the fires. My 04 Durango was being pushed around the road so bad I had to stop for a bit. There as also a tractor trailer that had been blown over. I've driven through blizzards, an Arizona mud storm but haven't seen wind as bad as that day.

I have a 2010 as well, and only see the hood flutter if the wind hits it at the right angle. I really never noticed it until the wifey pointed it out.

My Firestick antenna was blown off of the mounting bolt a few weeks back in 70mph wind. Poor Glen's XJ door got bent back on its self.
