Hiking in Socal
Ran across this website and thought I would pass it along for those looking of places to go hiking. Seems well put together and is great for new ideas of where to go.

BTW, I highly recommend the Sturtevant Falls hike, the first one you see on that website. It's kinda my favorite early morning local hike. "Kinda" because I've only actually been to the falls a couple of times, but I've hiked in that immediate area plenty of times. There are several trails that start off in the same direction as if you would go to the falls. It's so beautiful and serene in the morning, with the creek flowing and birds chirping along the heavily green and shaded trails. I've often seen deer roaming there too. I do the 5-mile Winter Creek loop, the 10-mile Mt. Zion loop, and the 15-mile Mt. Wilson loop as day hikes (the Mt. Wilson loop is an all-day gig!). I've also backpacked at the campsites along those trails plenty of times.
Oh, and another good website is "Dan's Hiking Pages". If you Google it, you'll find it right away.
