I finally got the nerve up to enlist in the Army last week. As of the 6th I signed my life over to the govt.

I ship off to basic training on Oct. 13th. Its at Ft. Leonard Wood, MI and right after that I will be shipping off to advanced infantry training in Ft. Sill, OK.

I'm going to be training for artillery.

Im excited and really need to start working out again. lol. Just thought i'd share with you guys.

 

Oh, and while im out training, my dad and best friend have already told me that they will be more than happy to wheel my Jeep while im gone.

 

Congrats! I was Navy for 4 years and don't regret a it for a minute. You will be a better person because of it. Good luck at Boot Camp and get as much rest right now as you can.

Now you can join the Armed Forces area of the forum as well!

way to go man, the country needs more people like you. basic isn't anything physically crazy, it's all mental. now you just have to go airborne.

 

I did basic training at A 3/10 at Fort Leonard Wood in November 1991... 29 more months until retirement (hopefully)!!! Good luck!!
