Like you said, it sounds to good to be true, or even that simple.

What are your responsibilities after the build? Do they have any degree of ownership of the vehicle?
In other words, do you have any obligations, such as having to display the JK for a certain amount of time? (other than the SEMA show you already know about)
Do you get to keep the upgrades for free? Or, do they want them back?

 

Well, the shop owner is my good friend and he's mostly pushing this build as advertisement for his shop. Most likely we will be going to different shows around. I was also telling him we can participate and do off road events where he becomes a vendor or sponsor for the event. It's also going to be a lot easier because I will soon be going to boot camp and training after that so I'll be gone for about 6-9 months so he'll have the jeep to work on at his on time without needing to give the jeep back so I can drive during the week. My jeep is my DD and if this project goes through, I'm most likely gonna pick up a new car, most likely the old school F250 Diesels to the new Mustang and maybe even a Ford Fusion, who knows!

About the upgrades! I had posted the picture of his F-450 that was sponsored. He kept all the parts on his truck, some things were out of pocket but it wasn't even much. Most of the companies that sponsored his truck will guarantee to sponsor my Jeep (Since he became a vendor and what not with those companies). Our main focus though is trying to figure out how to get sponsored and get Axles. I'm actually dropping the jeep off at his shop today and leaving over the weekend. His marketing guy that he hired is going to take pictures and make a portfolio to send too all the different companies.

Honestly we will find out everything once everything starts moving,

 

If we go with the Wounded Warrior Project Theme or St Jude Childrens Hospital, were most likely going to take places to show and hopefully collect money for charity to donate to the different organizations. That will be out way of giving back.

Congrats on the sponsorship that's great!

I had a friend who got a sponsorship from RCD suspension and they took his jeep for months to develop their JKU kits and then they hooked up with other manufacturers just before Sema and he score a pretty sweet build! Lights, seating, bumpers, wheels & tires the works. It was pretty cool seeing it built up but the funny thing was it was his first jeep so we took this built up rig out he didn't know how to drive it almost put it over on its side.
