I'm Outta Here :(
I'm gonna miss you too, pimp! You KNOW we had the best BROMANCE going on this entire Forum! Ha ha ha ha. I appreciate the open invite for shotgun and rest assured that I WILL take you up on it in the future. This sport is just too darn fun to quit cold turkey!
Also, know that it's not the hoopty that makes the playa'...but the playa' that makes the hoopty!
I'll still be able to swoop on those Xterra honeys just as easily with the Forester as I could have with the JK...just because of my high level of "O.G." BOOOOOOOOOOYAAAAHHH!!!!Russ D.

I appreciate the invite to ride in the "Fishmobile," my friend! Indeed, the story telling abilities will remain here with the Forum and I will be sure to regale you all with tales of splendor every once in awhile (which will probably mostly consist of me torching JKs off the line with my new Boxer engine...ha ha ha ha ha
). In any event, I'll hit you up whenever I'm in or near "Victimville" (on my way to Vegas, perhaps?). You're real pimpin', Fish, and after Shake n' Jake...you and I had the SECOND best BROMANCE on da' Forum! Ha ha ha ha haRuss D.
P.S. - I got the Pull Pal for you for this Sunday, Lord willing.
Sorry, my friend, I was kind of hard pressed to snag the winch and ESPECIALLY the control arms off of her (I didn't exactly have OEM replacements on me
). Seriously, an H2?!?! I hope that thing has the decency to randomly self-combust out of sheer envy sitting next to the Tumbler. We did have a good time our one trip out, and Lord willing, I'll see you on the trail sometime in the future (riding shotgun with any number of people that have offered to pick me up!)Russ D.
You can count on it, my friend! I love just being out there with the whole crew...whether I'm driving or not. And I'm glad my last trip (for the foreseeable future, anyway) got to be with our fearless leader! Thanks again for all of your great guidance/help over the years. You're true blue, buddy!
Russ D.
Russ, my deepest sympathy goes out to you. So sorry to hear about your loss. We did have some great wrenching time with the old Tumbler! I always have room in my Jeep and you are always welcome. I really hope to see you tomorrow night. I also want to check out your little TJ!

Here's to the most competent and ruthlessly efficient welder I know! Your help was BEYOND invaluable and indeed, my rig would not have been drivable a couple times if it wasn't for your skill behind the torch. You got a big heart, my friend, and I am honored to be counted as one of your "pals." Hope to see you tomorrow night if I get off work in time.

Sometimes life requires us to make rather difficult decisions. Unfortunately your decision has left you without a jeep. From reading this thread, it doesn't look like your going to need one. You seem to have made great friends here. And from a few post's, the shot gun seat is ready and waiting for you to warm it. I'm sure you wont let them down. Friends are tough to make. Great friends are far and few. Keep in touch with this JK community Russ. You have left an everlasting memory of what a good person your are. I only seen you on the road once here in Palmdale, from the sounds of your friends, you would have made for one hell of a friend and party bro. That being said, enjoy your new ride. But don't forget the JK community that has brought you to meet such wonderful folks. Good luck Russ.
Serg:
Thank you for the kind words, brother! It looks like I can just about pass the writing torch on to you. I was deeply moved by your post, and indeed, you're one of the guys I regret not having wheeled with/hung out with during my tenure here. For sure, I won't go anywhere far and will continue to keep in touch with this fine group of folks...yourself included!
Russ D.
This is sad news, Russ, but you did what you had to do. Even though you dont have Da Tumbler anymore, you are still a welcome guy to have around. I will always be happy to have you along in my Jeep, but it looks like you have quite a few to ride providers to choose from! The mutants will be safer with you off of the trails.
Dont be a stranger.
P-Diggity.

I would consider it an honor to be invited to ride in your rig! Thanks for all of the good times on the trail and for grinding that one half pipe with your Jeep with me when we were out at Red Rock. You tell those mutants not to get too comfortable out there...that I'm coming for them sooner than they think!

Russ D.
