Default It's about TIME!

Well, at LOOOOOOOONG last...I have a CB! Granted, it's not nearly as fancy as some of the setups you other cats have, but at a scant $33.99 + tax, I couldn't pass it up! I think I finally reached my wits' end when I was wheeling with wildandwillin (Roger) last night outside of Vegas, when he asks me while we're airing down, "So, you got your CB?" When it's just two (2) Jeeps out there and one of the guys has no CB, that's pretty depressing.

So, that being said, the next group run I tag along on, you all get to hear my blathering inanities over the shortwave! Such fun! Ha ha ha ha ha.

Thats better than nothing, home skillet. You will be better served by an onboard model. You are going to have fun with all the nutty banter you had missed on the trail.

I have a hand held CB as well and it works great, all Russ needs to do is plug it in to a firestick ( what I did) antenna and he wont miss anything...

That's what I do too. Works fine. Reception is as good as anything else. Transmission seems to be fine too, but I'm sure it has to be weaker than the bigger units.

One benefit with a handheld is that you also have the ability to walk away from your Jeep (i.e. to scope out what's ahead on the trail) and remain in contact with the group.

Nice, now we don't have to rely on telepathy.

Ha ha ha ha, yup, of this I am CERTAIN! Also, you can tell Maya that now with my CB, I can scout ahead and better protect the group from mutants!
