Anyway, I was wondering if you could recommend a place in LA (or even Vegas for that matter) that carries Jeep accessories. I'm going to be there for in September and there are a couple of small things I'd like to pick up for my ride while I'm there. I find that prices in the States are ridiculously cheaper than they are here.....damn taxes!!!

What kind of accesories are we talking about? There are a lot of places, just need more specifics of what you're looking to buy!

 

Basically what I'm looking for is a reasonably priced hitch and a pair of Bestop fabric doors....for now!

 

Well, 4 Wheel Parts is the big off-road chain around here. Not sure if they've got what you need in stock or not, but you can always give them a call (they have several locations).

I tend to use a little shop in Culver City called "Dirty Parts" (on Washington and Inglewood) if I need just need a little something like a hitch tow hook or a Jerry can. The place is owned by a couple of FJ guys and they are a tiny bit pricier than the big chains-- but I like to support the little guys. They also might be able to order you what you are looking for, since you have a few weeks.

 

I would have to say x2 on what DOOJER said about 4WheelParts! Call them up and see if they can order your goods and have them by the time you get into town!

Appreciate the offer but I doubt the Sebring convertible I'm renting can handle it....or that Alamo would appreciate it.

 

There is one LA based independent rental agency that rents JKs....

 

Call 4 wheel parts. Check availability. You may want to make sure that they have it in stock. They may need to have them shipped.

If so, where in LA are you coming to?

You could always get it shipped to a fellow jeepers business or house and pick them up.
