Hope it is 4 Wheel Part Company? They really need to hire someone with phone skills.

Good luck

Good luck! Where in SoCal is the company located? If you get to fly out here for a face to face make sure to let us know.

The Position is at March AFB in Riverside... It's a government position. I don't think they'll fly me from Italy for a face to face interview... I'll either get the job and move to Cali... or stay in Italy working for the government... either way I'm employed (thank god in this time of crisis) but I'd really enjoy the opportunity to live in Southern California!

Congratulations!

If you’re working at March you can live in Orangecrest. I need another JK in the neighborhood. I can almost hit March from my house with a 6 iron. Ok, maybe it’s more like 9 miles west of March… My wife and I went for a walk two nights ago and we saw a broker showing a house. It was the same model as ours. 4 bed, 2 bath, 1580sqft, single story, $220k. Two years ago that model was selling for $465k. What a great time to move into this area

March AFB is actually in Moreno Valley in the city of Riverside. Moreno Valley has plenty of houses to pick from but you have to be careful what area of MoVal you’re looking in.

Perris is 14 miles south, stay away…

Temecula is 33 miles South of March, very nice but getting very crowded.

I actually like downtown Riverside, it’s just like any other big town with a population of over 300,000 there are very nice areas and very bad areas (Casa Blanca).

Lived in Riverside my entire life except from 1989-1995 when I tried living in Maine.
Feel free to give me a yell anytime. I’ll try and keep ya out of trouble

Congrats! R'side has all types of areas; listen to barneskh, sounds like he knows what he is talking about. His advise is pretty sound; I travel to R'side on a regular basis, and I, too, would stay away from Perris, most of Moreno Valley, and lots of Temecula. Downtown R'side has some nice older areas . . . but there are definitely some good priced houses in the area . . . look around and get a feel. Maybe rent for a year and see what areas you like before buying . . . prices are not going to shoot up again that fast.

Thanks for the advice... It's so difficult to see what a neighborhood is like online. I've seen some nice homes in the Moreno Valley area and some even better homes south in Temecula. What's the commute time to March??? Are the highways there very congested??? I'm not sure what my schedule will be like, but I'm pretty sure I'll be working 4 day 10 hour shifts per week. Where's Orangecrest???
