So, Is it just me or does it seem like everyone and their brother are a bunch of posers that own JKs? Like holy fock chit...... I crunched my steering stabilizer the other day doing some testing on my suspension up at the end of the Cleghorn trail. So I was trying to find the stock travel of the steering stabilizer and get one alot cheaper than the valved for JK's over priced crap. And I stumbled upon a thread by the wayoflife dude (or for the forum d-bags who love using acronyms for everything "WOL") complaining about how he wanted to set the record straight that a steering stabilizer isn't to correct death wobble. So I started reading the replies and pretty much saw amateur porn of people all over this dude. And I thought about to the dude who told me if I took my rear sway bar off my jeep would do a barrel roll (by the way still haven't done that even with both disconnected going down the highway at 55 mph, crazy aint it). I see a post were a guy asked if regearing will cause his 12' to shift funny and go into limp mode. I got annoyed because I know I rarely post up here because I have been busy as hell lately, and I have seen that question answered a million times. Like wow dude stop being lazy and just research something and figure out what all you can do. Knowledge is power, granted I'm not chitting rainbows and orange shurbert, but damn. I feel like almost every jeep trip I've been on people think I'm some dumbass trying to hang with the big boys with my stock 32 rubi tires. But I'm climbing up obsticles without lockers, when they are much more built than I and need a spot and their lockers on, for them to even think about attempting it. Like seriously I almost feel ashamed to say I have a JK because these posers/web wheelers/followers make everyone who owns a JK seem like a douche bag. I'm not going to sell mine, but jesus H christ, I needed to vent that lol btw I had some dude try and asked for a parts list of my suspension... its in my focking signature retard.... like holy chit stop being lazy people.

 

Agreed, I try to get as much information as I can from forums, but it's a pick and choose. Most people act like they get a royalty from "shop x" by recommending their product, which they don't even run.

I get it, you work hard for your money and can pay to have someone put your jeep together for you. I have to stretch every "mod" over a period to are if its worth it.


If I could add....I'm not a fan of all the shiny fancy rigs with $10k in LEDs and "bling" but a stock d30 on 37s. Save to looks for the car shows. Wheel your jeep on trails, not around town. I went on a run years back (08?) with the wol guys. We were the treated like some ghettos jeepers for not running bumpers or fenders on our jks and wheeling to hard. These guys talking trash wouldn't run half the corral canyon trails and had the latest fancy "mod".

My bad bro, wouldn't be the first time an Army fella got a Marine all bright eyed and bushy tailed lol........ I'm bringing my old K5 out to SoCal and will post up a run up here saying I'm going to bring my Jeep... and I'll totally show up in that and see what kinda looks I get lol. I have been a a$$hole the past 2 hrs on this forum correcting posers and talking crap to people who don't search....... its been fun, but its mainly because it just pisses me off to see the poser-rific attitudes here.

 

Totally agree with you, shit I wheel the heck out of my stock x I follow all the bigger jeeps on 37's and lockers and I keep up! But you can't do anything about it there a lot of people in my side of town that don't wheel there jeeps they are stockers that have never seen dirt.

 

Very true you can't do chit about them, but the majority on this forum have no clue wtf they are talking about. Its like the blind leading the blind. I just love giving them a hard time on here because they get pissy and have no actual knowledge to back anything up. I feel like I'm winning the special olympics, but its still a "W" lol

 

I'm in the same boat, I take my stock sport out and people think I'm crazy for doing holcomb in it. Even had a coworker ask why I'd wheel a new jeep all i could say is "really?!".

 

Crazy how that works out huh? Plus how else do you know what your next upgrades need to be if you don't know the limits of your jeep right?

 

Exactly! I don't get why people even buy or drop thousands of dollars on upgrading them if they don't use them for what they're built for.
