Well I have been fighting with everything to get rid of my Death Wobble with buying some kings Shocks

Anyhow I got the drive to go to Rowher Flats and try them out. I have never enjoyed going to the tail head with
those washed out- wash board roads until today. I'm only supposed to go 15 mph from the first staging area? I was
cruising at 30 until I came upon some ATV's witch I just stopped and let them pass the other direction. Then took
the trail head West before the 2nd Staging area.

King really builds a great shock for the 2" lift guys
PS: The Jeep always climbed

Good to hear. Am getting the same mod soon. Tired of blowing Bilsteins....

You go with 2.0's or 2.5s?

You do the set up on your compression and rebound settings? Any factory recommended settings? Have to do any dialing in while in Rowher?

Thank guys, its like one mod lead to another before I could even think offroading it again.

I have the Kings at the softer setting on all fours. It literally took me back at first, but then I said,"These shocks can take this!!...Sh!t." Knowing I was almost as softest the shocks could go, nuts. I was worried about running into riders on the dirt bikes and quads held me back some. (speed limit, also)

The JKS 2" springs is what I went with. They gave me 3" lift for the front and 1" 1/2 in the back. (The OEM springs were pretty shot.) Using the Hockey Puck (1") for the front bump stops and 5/8" aluminum block for the back.

PS: This was a cool place to check thing out

I didn't ask the question right, which model shock, 2.0 or 2.5?

Just had 2.5's installed, mid setting for the ride home. Just from the pavement ride home I can tell the difference in the shocks ability to control roll and absorb road/trail imperfections.

Might have to go up to Last Chance Canyon to dial them in. Got everything up in that area, washboard, rock climbing, off camber etc... Good place to do some light testing of modificaitions.

Any clearance issues with the 2.5s?

Just going down the road no. Haven't off roaded it yet will check when we do that.

For install we had to place shock offset brackets on the lower A arm so the shocks don't hit the frame.

2.5's I have clearance issues, where did you pick up the lower brackets at?
Last Chance Canyon would be the place 😄

The lower brackets for the rear shocks and the offset bracket for the front shocks both came from Rebel Off Road:

Rebel Off Road - Jeep, FJ and Truck Off Road Parts and Accessories

Ask for Jason, let him know Dave (DaK) sent you and your are asking about his King install that was done earlier this week. He can pull up the build sheet for the front offsets. Rear lower shock mounts they stock in house. The rear lowers needed a slight modification so the connection point doesn't bind. Some light grinding is all that was required.

As per the directions from King you will need the bump stops on all four corners. They can get those too. I will say the King front bump stops are pricey. The rear bump stops I have are hard rubber ones.

What kind of clearance issues are you seeing and where? Post pics if you can. We flexed all four corners while at the shop and didn't find any contact points. Not the same as being on the trail but I know but, the best we could do at the time.

Nemesis makes a good set of front lowers.
