Default La Quinta?

Anyone here familiar with La Quinta? Is it decent? I've got friends looking to buy a vacation home out there in La Quinta Cove and they were wondering about the people, neighborhood, crime, etc...

I live in North La Quinta and has been part of my patrol area for years.... Over ten. It has grown a lot and we have everything. good restaurants, costo, super wally world, world market, trader joes, you name we have have it.

Cove is hit and miss, has higher crime than the north, and dirt bag house then a good nice house next door, the lots are very small, hope they get a double lot....., but most parts of the cove are nice, just depends on the street.

Old town LQ is nice to walk around also with nice shops and eating places... in the cove

So what streets are they looking at and if you have the address, i'll look into the neighbors... some are not the ones you want... have they look in north lq...

PM his number I will call him or you and answer anything.

I have lived here for over 15 years and had family here since the 70's so I have watched it grow. One of the best cities in the desert......wouldnt really live in any other city out myself. Well maybe Indian Wells or Rancho Mirage but they are high rent. Again, I can get any crime stats , etc., he may want as well.

Let me know.

Thanks. I think they were just wondering if the neighborhood tends to be going up (La Quinta Cove, that is) in value and whether or not it is fairly low-crime. They seem to really like the area.

I'll try to get the street info and see where they are looking.

The houses have dropped in value about 150 to 200 over the last year and is still falling some what more than north LQ, although it seems to be leveling off. Have a friend who just bought a house up there and they are happy with it and the price they paid..... Its low crime for the Coachella Valley, but higher than north LQ, Inidan Wells and Rnacho Mirage. They are better off there in the LQ cove than Palm SPrings or Cat City or Palm Desert though. It is really nice during the winter in the cove, more shade from the mountains.

A couple of years ago we spent a long weekend at La Quinta ( LA Quinta Resort), and it was really nice. Lot's of great restaurant and a golf paradise. Beautiful scenery.
