These are cracking me up! Being from Bakersfield makes it funnier. Tehachapi is about 45 minute drive. Not sure where you'll be working but something to consider. If you decide to live in Bakersfield I recommend the Northwest or far northeast. The northwest is closer to the oil patches if that's what your gonna be doing.

What's funny about it? 45 minutes won't be bad for what I want in a property it's worth it to me. I myself am not in the oil business but my wife may be.

The perceptions some people have is all I was talking about. It's one of the more conservative cities in CA but is becoming more and more like LA unfortunately.

That's another thing, hopefully the new bill will pass that allows a no "good cause" statement will be needed to get a CCW, and be prepared to modify any "scary guns " to make them legal . Otherwise, " I'd leave them in OK". As for now it's best to go through the county. I would definitely look into Tehachapi. My sister lives in Stallion Springs near Tehachapi. Very nice area .

My wife wants to move to Oklahoma, maybe we can just swap everything, no moving anything and call it good. Haha

If you make it out here keep me informed and I'll let you know when we plan on doing any runs.

Good luck

If I were moving to a new permanent location... I'd rent for six months and have a look see at the different communities in the area.

Good luck and shoot me a PM when you get here. I know some folks that live in Tehachapi.
