Nothing wrong with A/T, but you will get more grip with M/T's, esp from the sidewall aspect (on most M/T's). The M/T's tread is a little more aggressive, so with that you will get more noise, so if that is a concern, then it is something to think about. I wish I had gotten M/T's over A/T's even though my current tires (BFG A/T's) have done just fine so far...

If I were looking for a AT tire, I would have a look at the Wrangler DuraTrac. Looks like a pretty good compromise between mud and AT. Wish they came in the size I want. KM2 is the only one I know of that has 255/80R17.

When I can afford it, KM2's all the way for me. I will never do an A/T tire. To much comprimise.

I like and have the KM2's 2nd choice is Toyo M/T the firestone M/T is a pretty fine tire too with a lower price tag.

I have street tires and I haven't really haven't gotten stuck......yet.... (being high centered doesn't count!)

The only reason I was leaning towards the A/T is because it's my daily driver. I was looking for the best of both worlds, on and off road. The Nitto and BFG's both looked like the tread design would deal better off road than the others. I've still got some time. I'll probably buy em next month.

If a pinch of "road noise" wouldn't bother you, I'd go with M/T's because you may regret it down the road (I do). Just my

My Toyo MT's really aren't that loud on the freeway, just a nice little hum. The rattles from my door pillars are much worse.

Cool, I'll probably end up with the M/Ts. I wanted them to begin with but didn't want to sacrifice "streetability".
Based on all these fine opinions that wont be a problem! Thanks!
