Default Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton

I’ll be working at Camp Pendleton next week. Does anyone know of any special “no door” restrictions at Pendleton? I don’t want to show up at the main gate just to be turned around because the doors are off.

I go through main side/ main gate every sunday and asked the MP what the restrictions were for going on base. He told me full bumper (no stubby) and doors on (could be for civilian vehicles only?). But who knows, he was in a bummed mood since he just got chewed out for sitting down on the curb on the Job and not standing at attention when they were raising the flag his Officer was PISSED
you should try calling someone on base to get the 411.

I've taught my boys 4 and 6 (almost 7) to stand when the national anthem is played. I've almost got 'em to stand at attention and salute.

If ya can't get a Marine to stand for the flag being raised, then what's the world comin' to?

I have NEVER and I mean NEVER seen a Marine sitting on the deck during COLORS , not even the shit birds are that disrespectful.

And one final thing we use the CVC on base.
He wasn't sitting during colors just not standing at attention. He might have been BS'n me since I was a civilian, No sticker to get through the gate. Had to stop and sign in

Ok, now you got we worried.
I looked on the website and saw nothing so I called the Base Police. The operator put me on hold for 2 minutes and came back with “They ride around with no doors all day so it’s okay for you. Just hold on!”

So I’m going for it

So the guy wasn’t standing at attention while colors were playing. Yes he should be chewed out for that. Sitting on the curb while on duty…Yes he should be chewed out for that!

Sorta off topic:
I get so frustrated with people at baseball games when the National Anthem is playing and they keep their ball caps on. I use to confront them but about 10 years ago at Anaheim stadium I confronted a Yankee fan and we got into a full blown fist fight and were tossed out of the ball park before the first pitch was thrown. Now I just mind my own business but it still burns me up inside
