does anyone have the GPS coordinates to find the Lava tubes in the Mojave National Preserve? I heard they are hard to find.

I can probably figure that out-- I'll go check on it. I'm having a difficult time working out a way to join you guys... but we're still trying to figure it out!

Is it the Cinder Cones/Lava Formations at Cima Volcanic Field?

That would be:

N35° 10.823 W115° 49.015

If you have a good .gpx utility, I highly recommend using the Mojave GPX (right click and "Save Link As...") from travelbygps.com.

If doojer cant find it, it must be smaller than a little tupperware sandwich container!

Actually, I heard the lava was melting the tupperware, so they moved it to an ammo can.

Hey Woods, great find on that site! Really good info there.

I'm in for part of this. I'm not going to be leaving O.C. till Saturday morning. So I've decided to do a couple trails then meet up with you guys at the Sat. night camp site. I'll also have to skin out early Sunday.

Are you guys able to nail down the specific camp site?
