need help ESC light on.

Default need help ESC light on.

So I had a dirtbike hit me today on my driver side, he came around the corner of a curve hauling ass!! and hit me side ways into my door and tire...the guy is ok no scrathes on the jeep...we took him to the ER and its all good right?!....When we headed back home I noticed my steering wheel was a bit of...so I think no big deal I will fix that my serlf...and then the ESC light came on and is not going away. Everything looks ok dont know what the prolem might be anyone had or has this problem with the ESC?!

front alignment might need to be done, adjust drag link to fix steering wheel.

possible when he hit your tire your abs sensor is broken?

That happened to me once(the light, not a motorcycle), recentered the wheel and light went out.

Yup, recentered the wheel and its all good now. Still will take it to get the alignment done, called insurance just in case might get some free CLAS out of it who knows...

This is actually pretty common and usually related to the steering wheel being out of alignment and as noted can be corrected with the draglink adjustment. On rare occasions you could break the ABS line especially if lifted your rig and flexed it...the extra flex (droop) has broken my lines after we upgraded to coil overs and I ended up having to extend the ABS lines.

What's the easiest way to extend the abs lines? I would assume doing it before you break one is cheaper?

I believe there's a kit for it but unless you've lifted your suspension up and longer shocks (12"+ travel) you shouldn't need to.


Yes steering wheel out of center will do it....ESP is a real PIA.....

Was looking to get evo bolt on coil overs soon, the abs sense or wasn't something I had thought of till I read this thread:/
