It is totally possible to get you into a lift, wheels and tires for $3500. I just did it.
5 35" Toyo MT's mounted, balanced $330 ea. $1650
5 American Eagle wheels 17 x 9 $135 ea. $675
TF 3" lift with shocks $800 ( with 5% discount sale at Northridge)
That totals out to $3125.
You can then add front lowers for $313 and front track bar for $220 and you would be sitting pretty for a while, you can add the rest down the road.
