Default Open shooting area on Saddleback/OC?

Does anyone know if there are any legal open shooting areas up on Saddleback? I know there used to be a long time ago, but as far as I know it is closed. I'm in south Orange County and want to take the kids out this weekend for some easy .22 plinking. Any wilderness recommendations are much appreciated.

I seriously doubt it. I used to shoot off Ortega Hwy maybe 20 years ago... and that is about when it closed. You can do indoor .22 rifle I think (call to make sure) at Firing Line in Hunt Bch or Brea. Or try Evan's Gun in Orange on Brian St.

You can go to Lytle Creek or Azusa, but I doubt you will like your neighbors...

I doubt there's one that's open in OC but there's Olympic Shooting Range (1984 Olympics Shooting range) in Chino Hills at the 71 fwy and Euclid exit, just take the 241 toll road to 91fwy to Corona

That is a cool place, especially for shotgunning...

Lytle Creek. Open shooting area. Off the 15 fwy, exit Sierra just before Glen Helen. Used to go there all the time. Haven't been in a couple years, hope it's still open!!!
