Default Paintless Dent Repair

Anyone familiar with this method of dent removal? My idiot neighbor backed up into my 2013 Mustang with her stupid Prius! I don't want my NEW car covered in Bondo or any other type of body filler. Just curious if anyone has had this done with good results.

When I was in Ft. Worth I saw a few cars fixed that way after hail storms and from quick looks seemed pretty good. I've never had it done though or known anyone that lived with the repair for long term.

I have had this work done several times with amazing results. The big decision is; Is your paint damaged our just the metal? The next thing is is there good access behind the panel. I had my truck tailgate worked on and they had to drill a small hole in the bottom of the gate to work the metal. Î had custom pinstripes so it was still a better solution. The last thing is who is doing it... It is kind of an art. Make sure you get references and ask for pictures of their previous work. I had the same guy do all mine. He is the son of a well known custom painter and has been around it his whole life.

If you can save the factory paint... I would. Keep in mind that while it is usually a little cheaper. Paintless dent repair can be more expensive. (I personally would still go this route if possible)

You can see the gouges in the plastic bumper and there are a couple dings in the rear quarter panel.

I don't care about the cost at all. It will be fixed the way I want it, or I will take it to court. Technically, it was a hit and run. She hit it as she was taking her brother to school. She called my wife and let me know she hit it, but she had already left the scene.

I have first hand experience with this method of body work... Tony DeLorenzo aka "The Dent Dude" The Dent Dude - San Diego's Paintless Dent Repair Expert - Scratch Repair, Touch-up, Heat & Pop Bumper Repair does great work and is very professional. He did some work on my Jeep when I first got it and it still looks great.

I will check it out tomorrow. I'm still waiting on her to get home for the insurance info!

It depends on where the dent is and if the metal was creased or stretched at all.

The dents are super small. They are just bugging the crap out of me knowing that they are there. I plan on having them replace the bumper since the paint and plastic are screwed up on that.

First Semper Fi! Second as for the repairs get an estimate for repairing and refinishing both panels which you will be entitled to. The insurance company will not replace the rear bumper unless a mounting tab has been torn and can't be repaired ( You do not want to replace it anyway as there are VIN stickers on all major panels and this would eliminate the rear bumper one) . The best repair would be to do paintless removal on the quarter panel and a spot repair with full clear coat on the rear bumper with it off the vehicle eliminating and chance of over spray. I was a body shop manager for over 20 years and an insurance adjuster for 5 as well. The insurance company is required to make you whole after the accident. They will cover repairs, lost days from work and a rental while the car is in the shop. If I can be of any further help feel free to contact me. Rick
