Pine Mountain Run Sat - 04/12/08
For those of you who are interested, WOLette and I will be heading up to San Luis Obispo this weekend with Trail Bud and will do a run up Pine Mountain (near Pozo) on Saturday. We're actually going to be staying from Thursday night and will be staying in the area until Sunday at the Motel 6 there and if the weather is nice like it is supposed to be, we will most likely be shedding our top and doors off for the run. On Sunday, we will cut across the Carrizo Plains on Hwy 58 to see the wildflower display out there and then make our way back home on the 5.
Just so you know, Pine Mountain is rated as being 'difficult' in the Charles Wells book and while I'm pretty sure that a stock JK could make it through the entire length of the trail, tow hooks front and rear will be a minimum requirement on this run.
If you have any questions or if you think you might be interested in joining us, please let us know by posting in this thread.

Damm,
I have to miss another one. I signed up some time ago to participate in the Desert Explorers annual Rendevous in Shoshone. Have fun and I hope I can make the next trip with you guys.
If anyone is interested in learning about the Desert Explorers here is a link to their web site. http://www.desertexplorers.org/

We're still in a holding pattern for this weekend...are you running any trails on Sunday if we can get up there late Saturday afternoon, or just taking 58 back?
Might try to come up and join you if even if you are just riding paved roads!
