Default Please... Need a little quick tutorial!

Thanks to some super amazing friends we finally have a rear bumper and tire carrier!!! Since my husband & friends are leaving for the Rubicon & I am impatient I am working on switching bumpers solo. I am pretty handy and this isn't my first rodeo. Does anyone have any helpful tips for me to remove the OEM bumper easily (all ignoramuses who suggest I find a man for the job will be tarred and feathered)? Spare tire is off, take care of removing third brake light, removed four bolts under each side.

Don't forget the center brackets. I jerked and tugged and almost grabbed my cutting torch to burn bumper off... Then I noticed that center bracket. Comes off easily after that.

Sounds like you got the rest of it down.

PS. Post some pics once ya get it installed!

Yeah the center brackets have to come off or it won't lift off. What kind of new bumper do you have ? Some of them are a little tough getting everything lined up..

Thanks y'all! When I say "impatient" I really mean "My ADHD/OCD Kicked into overdrive, I didn't wait for replies" I Googled it, found a simple explanation. Went down with my 16 ratchet and 16 impact drill and had at those last few bolts (had to remove the hitch bolts too).

I have learned if I want things done, I need to either do them, or start them past the point of no return! Ask Jumpnt about the time he came home and all of the nasty carpet in the living room was removed, cut into strips, rolle into bundles and taped (same with the nasty padding) Everything was gone down to the last tack strip! I eventually got new tile, but I told him I would rather people think we were remodeling than that we were "dirty" people with nasty, stinky carpet!

Yes we need to start a Jeppette-centric thread!

Just FYI, the third brake light harness can be removed by taking the black plastic trim off the inside of the tailgate to get to the plug, then just pop the black grommet out as its attached to the harness, fill the hole with something like one of those cool UFO things

Forget the "jeepette" stuff... You're a true Jeeper! As long as you had fun, that's what it's all about!

I am impressed, no really…I have a hard time getting my wife to hold something for me for a few seconds.
