Question Radios??? CB or VHF???

what are people using? I have several VHF radios that I use for racing, and they work awesome for vehicle to vehicle communication, but are worthless if everyone else has a CB...

Am I going to have to mount both a VHF and a CB in the Rubi?

How about installs? Anybody got some pictures?

Most people use CBs.

Here is what we did:

Most everyone I have been out with uses CBs. There have been quite a few posts on CB's and their installation. Check out the search feature

CB's are the way to go...

I really like the Cobra 75 WX ST. All the controls are in the mic and everything is hidden. Also, you can use it in multiple vehicles; I move mine from my JK to my RV which make it not only convenient but also economical.

Yeah, did a search and found a few, but not really any mounting options that I liked... Just looking for some more ideas... I would like to do a better job of making the radio look factory, and hidden...

It comes with an adapter were you can hook a normal CB antenna up to it. I chose the 4' Firestik. I dont' really know how it compares to a normal CB. I have not had any problems with it on the trail. I can always hear everyone else and they can hear me.. hehe!

I just wanted it because it is also portable in case I needed to leave the Jeep behind and take off on foot

Default New Mount

Just saw this at Quadratec:

Should make for a clean installation.
