Default Rebel Offroad VS Offroad Evolution

Anyone know about Rebel Offroad. They are right by my Pizza place, so I stopped by to check them out while waiting for my dinner. It seems like everyone here is Evo all the way. How does Rebel compare as far as coil over systems.

They took a couple of shots across Offroad Evolutions bow when I talked to the guy at the shop. Nothing too bad, just typical sales stuff.

Jake, feel free to pm me if you want to.

up front, you're just looking at coil overs and really, there isn't that much different you can do. in the rear, you can either have a coil over system that hangs dangerously low to the rocks (remember, unlike a standard coil and shock setup, your coil overs are the only thing holding up your jeep), one that requires you to cut into the cabin of your jeep allowing dust and fumes to come in OR, you can have a system that utilizes a state of the art cantilever system to give you maximum flex and performance without any sacrifice. the later is of course the evo lever system and really, there is no competition.

maybe typical sales stuff for them but, i have never heard off road evolution take a shot across anyone's bow before. that's the kind of shop they are.

Not to high jack the thread...... but you guys are lucky because there are very few shops around here and maybe one that has JK stuff , it is like pulling teeth to get anything installed if you aren't able to do it yourself

i'd actually like to correct myself regarding the front. if you're wanting to play harder, i'm pretty sure that off road evolution is the only one that offers a double throwdown system which has towers specifically engineered to maximize the benefits of a king triple bypass shock.

and, as i had mentioned, the rear is where you see the biggest difference. on the one hand, you have a kit that has HUGE coilovers dangling low and in harms way or, requires you to cut into the tub of your jeep like this...

then you have off road evolution's evo lever that utilizes a state of the art cantilever system to provide extreme articulation while keeping your coil overs up and out of harms way and without cutting into your tub...

of course, you can also get this in an awesome double throwdown setup as well...

been running my off road evolution coil overs for over 2 years now and if you want to see how well it performs, all you need to do is watch some of our videos

I have always found those who talk the most tend to do the least.

Thanks for the info Eddie. I am pretty sold on offroad evolution. I just wanted to know of There was more info out there.

You are right about shots across bows. Jake, Mel and all the rest have been nothing but cool.

Now I just need to convince the wife. Which was supposed to be the objective at next weeks trip. Stupid dental insurance. Time to come up with a new tactic.

NY is the same way. very few shops and last time i checked exactly NONE that had anything to do with the JK other than simple lift installs. No specialty places at all.

I would love to be out west somewhere for the shops & wheeling.
