Default Recommendations for lights?

I'd like to install some off-road lights on my Jeep but don't know what to get... there are so many options! I know I want reasonably priced round ones, probably on the hood and front bumper. I'm not looking to be able to read a newspaper from outer space but just good enough to see obstacles in the dark. Thanks for any suggestions!

I love my KC's. I have the daystar long range on my windshield and the slim lite fogs on my front bumper.

I think KC Slimlites are great lights for the money. Hella Black Magics are nice looking, but I haven't seen how well they work.

If you do decide to do some long-distance reading sometime, Rigid D2s rock. Square, though, not round.

Thanks Bill. I may get blinding-light envy down the road but they'll still need to be round

I have Hella Black Magics all over the place...BUT... I'd recommend some LED's, you can get them starting fairly inexpensively.

I run with the PIAA 520 yellows in my bumper, along with stock headlights. Light bars = tree magnets.
I recommend you keep the lights up front, low, and tight. bouncing lights will fatigue your eyes quick. Most states limit the number of operating lights to 4 anyway (2 headlamps, 2 aux lamps), and none can be higher than your stock headlights.

Sorry Caroline, I don't have much advice to offer; we run stock JK headlights on low beam wheeling through rocks as fast as we can! Just makes life a little more exciting.
