regear for my 2010 JK Sport 6-Speed.
So I have a 2010 Jeep Sport (screen name). I don't know what gears I have because I bought it used. Because I don't use 6th gear much I've been told that I'm probably not geared properly for my 35". My question is where could I go for regearing and what's a ball park price. From what I've seen a good gear set to go with is 4.56.
Thanks
Jorge KCCO
P.S. Wondering if I should install lockers too. Two birds one stone kind of a thing.

I have 4.56 in my 2012. Its an auto though but I really love how its geared. Im on 35's also. With the 2010 you might want to look at 4.88, or 5.13's. I took mine to rebel, and was in and out in about 2 hrs. They did a great job. Very cool shop and great people. Im sure there are a lot of guys with a lot more experiance than me to help you out. As always the all mighty search bar is there!

You can jack up one rear tire and count how many revolutions you rear driveshaft turns with one revolution of the tire.ie 3.2,3.7, 4.1, to find out what gears you have or sometimes they put a little tag on one of the diff cover bolts. I have a 09 manual on 35's, 4.88s and a atlas 4.3to1 t.c. because I do a lot of rock crawling and sometimes you can't go slow enough especially with a stick. I'm really happy with it off road and especially on the rocks. If you do a lot of highway miles and no crawling, get the 4.56. If you do a lot of highway and crawling get the 4.56 and try to get a rubicon or atlas t.c. I think at 70 in 6th gear, I,m turning around 2800 rpm's. Lockers ain't cheap, but would be nice if you're getting off the fire roads. Hope this helps, just my opinion.

I had mine done at 4wheelparts in El Cajon, cost me 11-1200 OTD for both D44's re-geared to 4.88
Mine is an auto so the 4.88 put me almost right back to stock with 35in tires. I could have went to 5.13's but this is my DD so i wanted to get better fuel mileage.
