Default registering a trailer in CA

i have found a trailer that i rally like but it is not registered, how difficult and costly is it to register a trailer in California?

Its actually pretty easy, i built a trailer and registered at dmv. they will want to know what it costs and how much it weighs, but you can guess on that. i just told them i had old parts in backyard and didnt buy anything new, it was painless and not expensive at all, cost about $40 total with pink slip, cheaper without pink slip.
