I can tell you it's a real pain the butt! I needed to run the cable for my GPS under the dash to the top where my DayStar GPS mount is located. It took awhile, but I did it. I started by removing the panel under the steering wheel. This gives you access to the screws. I removed them all and still could not get it to budge. I'm sure it's probably just a matter of yanking on the right spots to get the clips to release, but I have no clue where those clips are. I then moved to the passenger side and removed the glove box. This is pretty simple, just open it all the way and squeeze the sides till it releases and everything dumps on the floor. Oh, quick tip here, empty it first! This allowed me access to more screws, which I removed. It still would not budge. I did manage to push the little side panel near the door out enough to remove it. This gave the best access for what I needed, and I mounted a power outlet in the footwell and ran the cable up the side and across the top of the dash and then stuffed the cable under the dash past the soft rubbery thing that runs the length of the dash.

I know this has nothing to do with what you are trying to do, but I thought my frustration with the dash may help you feel better knowing you are not alone!

Hopefully this will help. Although it's a .pdf file for installing a roll cage, from step #22 to about #30, it illustrates how to remove the dash.

This would have been very helpful when I was tearing into my dash! Where were you when I posted asking for an illustration of how to remove the dash? I've saved it for next time, thank you!

I think im just going to order a pillar switch panel. I pulled off the factory one and there is a circuit board on the back that will be in the way.
