I've been planning to take a group up to the Reward Mine on Presidents Day weekend, but I've been hearing contradictory rumors that it may have been closed off.

Just to make sure my wires aren't crossed, the mine I'm thinking of is right across the 395 from Manzanar, and is the one you can drive your Jeeps inside about 1/4 mile.

Anyone know for sure?

 

That's the one. Although I haven't heard it was closed. Maybe for the winter?
