According to one site from Google, the GPS is: 36.811415,-118.196154 (Reward Mine [exact])

Location info:Reward is about five miles East of highway 395 in the Owens Valley inbetween Independence and Lone Pine. The site includes Several large and small mines and mining structures such as building foundations, several large ore bins, air tramway towers and cables, and lots of equipment. The best feature is an enormous mineshift that goes close to a mile underground.
Hope this helps.

Well I was just out there this passed weekend. Didn't do reward.

I would check out movie rd outside of lone pine as well.

The hot springs you are talking about are "closed" to entry into the water, if that's what you were planning. That being said if you want to "not" get in the water there is an area just up stream from the main hot springs that is quite nice.

Take something to tie your CB antenna down with before you enter the mine. It will never be the same if you don’t. Keep an eye out for Henry (a manikin) he may be making an appearance there again this summer.
