Default rock rails

Does anyone want to help a fellow jeeper trim his rock rails. In BB last weekend there was a whole lot a rubbing going on. If anyone has tools to cut the rails and a grinder to make it look nice I could use the help. I was thinking about doing it this Sunday. I am in Carlsbad if you can help. Hopefully we can get someone who has done this before. to help guide me in the right direction.

Andy, we were talking up there. With those rails there should be a lateral bolt slot so you might be able to loosen the bolts and slide them forward. I would double check that before you start cuttin

If you decide you need to cut them, I have all the necessary tools for the job.

And I'll show up with a bucket of ice and so I can watch. Oh yeah, I have tools also; we could knock out each side at the same time.

i am going to look into sliding them. and if that doesnot work a hack will need to be done. I found a thread on cutting them and it looks pretty easy if you have the tools.

i did it today. cut those nasty rails. It was a piece of cake. Took them off took them to a local fab shop and presto. they then cut off a diagional part of the body and now it looks still stock and clean. If anyone ever needs to do this pm me and i will go over everthing. the worst part about the whole mod is dirt in your face when you are under the jeep
