No kidding on the snow. While I've never done the Rubicon, I live about 20 minutes from Tahoe and can tell everyone that Mount Rose Mountain (close to Tahoe on the Incline side) got several inches of snow in the last WEEK! Having lived in the area on and off for 40 years, I am hard pressed to remember EVER having this much snow this late in the year. In fact, many ski resorts will be opening up runs for July 4th. Point being, I would definitely plan for very deep water and snow in shady spots on any high Sierra run this summer.

OK, I'm in on this. I hope new friends are welcome on this trip. I don't recognize anyone that's signed up so far.

Does anyone know what is expected as a spill kit to pass inspection?

Ok, great move on the dates. Thanks Eddie for catching that. I don't want to be running with all of those people. Rather do it when the trails are open. I am still down as a strong possibility. Put Whitecon and Castalone as maybes too. I'll talk with them tomorrow.

I don't see a snorkel being necessary. The water level shouldn't bee too high in August.

So are you gonna post up the same dates for the cencal group? We can coordinate if you are and hit the trail together.
