Default Saddleback Mountain, went up yesterday

Sorry I didn't get a chance to post this earlier, but it was a last minute run.

Went to Saddleback again. Came accross only three other jeeps. One was a Silver Rubi. I think it's the only other Silver Rubi that I've ever seen. Told the driver about this site, so this is a shout out to Greg and his two little girls.

So after two weekends on Saddleback, I've seen about 7 jeeps on the mountain. Three of them JK's. Glad to see these aren't just running to the mall.

I wondered if these places would be open with the fire season in high gear.

All the gates are open right now.

Here's a link to Cleveland conditions;

Interestingly, the fire danger right now is Low

Let me know the next time you go for a run. Clackey and I are always good for meeting up and hitting the trails.

I'd love to see some photos from your ride. I was stationed at El Toro and lived in the area for years. I had no idea they had trails you could drive up Saddleback.

Here's a link to a pic from the previous weekend (scroll down the page). You look right down on the El Toro Base.

Yes planning on doing the DHOffroad run. I don't know the mountain really well, but I wouldn't mind exploring the Main Divide road North from the Silverado route. I've recently been to Santiago Peak from Silverado, as well as Holy Jim.

Any recommendations would be appreciated. Or better yet, just come along and show us around.
