San Diego Meet and Greet January 29th
Over the past few months (since Rubicon in july) I've just about replaced everything possible including BJ's. My fear, and last thing I've yet to replace, is it's the gear box. Still possible that it's something that got loose but ruled out the Track Bar as it's tight (usually the culprit) so I need to check to see that everything else is tight and the tie bar isn't bend too bad (don't think it's the tie rod since I'm running the Rock Krawler and I've only ever seen one person bend one).

I hope it's not your gear box
Another great day spent with old friends and some new ones as well.
Thanks for organizing this Meet and Greet Dave (jayhawk Jeep) and for leading the Bronco Peak/Sidewinder run Rick (morconc1) never thought we'd be able to do all that with the size group we had but we did and were able to get off the trail in the daylight!
Only real bummer for us was we had a return case of Death Wobble later in the evening after dinner...hopefully something is loose and nothing more

Frank. Let me come over. We will take my tires and wheels off, Put them in yours and see what happens.. I changed every thing the way you did and the DW didn't go away until I bought the New Tires..
I don't know about record time, we had a couple of spots that ate up a lot of time before we decided to use the winches. The worst spot he had wasn't even that technical, just slipped off the line and ended up in a bad spot. We got to do some snatch block winching and a little tricky maneuvering to get out of that one

I thought I heard you guys over the CB that u were already at the Peak @ 4pm..
Yeah that connector can be a b---h if your not paying attention you will end up with body & equipment damage for sure..
Great time all around. The morning one was a blast and it was nice meeting everyone. For those four of us we survived the connector

One a side note does someone have my toe strap?

I hear you about the gear box but I'm seeing movement in the pitman arm and we have been getting a shimmy even without the latest DW episode.

1/4" is a bit much. i would bring that back to 1/8" at most - probably one turn on one of your two TRE's. movement in your pitman arm will give you sloppy steering but not DW. is the shimmy speed related or does it only happen after hitting a bump or both?
The shimmy was speed related until last night. Last night after picking up Mituk the wheel started to shake as Brenda drove literally a mile down the road doing about 35MPH then when we left you guys we were making a left doing maybe 20-25PMPH and it hit...I'd say definitely not a sever as DW but it sure felt like it to me.
