Hello SoCal Jkers. I’m driving to San Diego this weekend to pick up a new rear bumper and making a little vacation out of it. I’ll be staying near downtown, but wondering if there are any moderate trails in the surrounding area, or on the way back to AZ. If anyone wants to do a little run and show me the SoCal ropes that would be awesome.

 

East of San Diego, on the I-8, you will find the Corral Canyon OHV area . . . there are many trails there, "Sidewinder" and "Bronco Peak" (the latter being quite a difficult trail).

Look at this Google Map. It shows Lake Morena near Corral Canyon . . . the staging area for Corral Canyon is "A".

I also believe that is a trail down near the border, but I have not been on that one, so I don't know much about it.

Unfortunately, I will be out-of-town wheeling up in Big Bear for the "Big Bear Forest Fest;" otherwise I would have liked to do a run with you. Next time.

Good chance I am doing Coral Canyon this weekend if you want in, not sure what day yet. Probably do Sidewinder and the big loop.

 

Its on the way back to AZ so I would be down for a Sunday run. Could go till mid-afternoon and then would need to head out. Let me know...

 

Sorry for the short notice but hitting coral canyon up tomorrow. Meeting at four corners at noon. Should be nothing too intense but fun. Let me know if you are coming (or anyone who wants in).

Dave how was the run? Are you heading up to the Mega Meet this weekend? If so, we are pulling together a caravan heading up on Friday.

 

Run was good, only had to get winched once (can't wait for bigger tires) In for the caravan, what time you thinking about heading out?

 

Dave - somebody on Craigslist has BFG 35" on Procomp Wheels like mine (see my profile for pic) for $1,400.

Anyway did either of you take any pics you can share?

 

Would love the tires but not in the budget right now. Wife has giving the blessing to order the lift kit mid july early aug. Then tires some time after. Sorry no pics this time but I'll have the camera this weekend.
