I would like to leave San Diego (Tierrasanta, specifically) around 10am. If anyone would like to caravan with me, let me know. I'm a newbie here and am very excited about this trip. I'm also looking forward to meeting local people. I'll be traveling with my 2 boys (ages 11 and 14). I'm sure they would appreciate meeting new people too!

 

We are meeting at the Deer Springs Park & Ride off of Hwy 15 at 1PM on Friday June 26th. There are a couple of Park & Rides off of Deer Springs Road, we will meet at the one next to the Arco Gas Station on the west side of Hwy 15.

The route we are taking starts off in-land versus the coastal Hwy 5 route but actually is a bit shorter and under poor traffic conditions takes less time. We should get there with plenty of daylight and be able to get a good spot.

Our goal is to be there early enough to get a spot for everyone and to help Eddie (WOL) if they need help.

Gryphon, I don't know if I can go up on the 26th. I am an instructor at the Trax school and I have some Lieutenants graduating on Friday. We might get a half day. I don't know. Also I met USMC-Reyes2007 at the PX and he wants to go up with me. I guess he has some friends that are interested too. I will let you know what's up when I know a little more.

 

I'm going on Friday but I'm coming from the 5 north.............the 15 is too inland I think for me.

 

Tonya - you guys off the 5 are best to take it...a lot of us down in North County (SD) are close enough to the 15 that it make sense for us...

 

We will be heading up Saturday morning. We'll have to catch up with folks up there. Camping Saturday night, that much we decided.
