What tire would you recommend for So Cal. This is my daily driver and soon to be weekend warrior (when I get my weekends back).

I will probably settle for 33's since I can't afford to re-gear my 3.73s right now.

I am putting this in So. Cal. cuz it seems silly to ask someone in Kentucky what a good tire for out here is.

BTW I have a Teraflex 2.5" coil lift sitting in my garage waiting for tires and wheels.

 

I like my Maxxis, but i have not had them long enough for a good recommendattion yet. I will howver vouch for the YOKAHAMA MT's and AT's. These tires were the best tires I have ever owned period. I had the Geolander At's on my ZJ and went 55k mile and had plenty left, but sold my ZJ. My buddy is running the MT's and his are doing great as well. They are cheaper than the BFG'S etc. awsome tires!!! So far these maxxis are showing no were at all with 10k on them they may be my new favorite, but I will keep all of you updated

 

BTW one more thing "Golden West Tire" is Great they are in fullerton I think. Talk to John and tell him the Guy w/ the big yellow jeep sent ya. He should be quite competitive if not outright cheaper. Beat the pants of American tire for me. I was refered to him by another jeeper from my ZJ days

So you are saying in order to be cool I have to run Toyos? I am not sure I can handle the peer pressure. On the other hand I don't want to blow out tires every time I go out either.

So anyway, i love my procomp AT's, no road noise, do great on the road and off road.
I have 33's on 16 rims--they may be for sale if your interested, you can always pm me. i'm was going to go to 35's and put these on my truck, but I'm still deciding.

 

I am in the same exact boat as you (2dr w/3.73).... KM2's are almost $100 cheaper than the toyo's... that's my only killer....

I am seriously considering buying them online via a forum sponsor from AZ.... shipping is high, but no sales tax. They will however mount, balance, even install TPMS sensors and deliver to my dock on a pallet.

My only other decision is TF BB or 2.5" spring kit... and after learning some things watching the ramp.... this isn't as easy a choice as one would think.
