Was a blast and ya know, once he was yanked out (by the other two buggies with us) dried her out, replaced some fuses and along we went, so really didn't turn out too bad, even for my buddy who went swimming! Here's a vid of the extraction: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zy8Fnz1TswE

Looks like it may have been a shallow spot near the shore thankfully! Were his front tires sitting on the ground? Nice to have those two buggies with ya, and I'm happy to hear it wasn't that bad of a situation. Cool video too.

I did not want to venture too close to the rig (on the ice) and fall in myself so I'm not sure that the fronts were hitting bottom but I assume so. The ice was a good 10" to 12" thick near the shore but quickly got thinner the farther out. And yeah was a good thing they were with us, otherwise this could have been a bit more of an ordeal!

I've been considering the kevlar/Mud grapplers/Trail Grapplers in 37's, why are you switching? I'm always looking for opinions

I personally did not care for the road manners of the Goodyear Kevlars! They worked great off road but on road I did not care for them.

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind. Hope the Nitto's work out well, they're pretty bad ass!
